Led and founded by Randy Malliett, our team of skilled craftsmen work closely with clients, designers, and architects to bring each unique vision to life.

And as Northern Michigan locals, we understand the terrain, the seasons, and the communities we serve. Whether lakeside or tucked into the woods, we know how to build for the landscape. Meet The Leadership Team
Randy Malliett
President & Owner
As the founder of Malliett Construction, Randy brings nearly four decades of experience and a legacy as a fourth-generation custom home builder. Born and raised in Mason County, his craftsmanship have helped shape the local landscape through quality homes. Randy studied at West Shore Community College and Nashville Auto Diesel College, building a strong foundation in both construction and technical trades.

When he's not working, Randy is a passionate land developer and proud owner of The Perch Restaurant and Hobby Crest Resort on Hamlin Lake. He enjoys hobby farming, family adventures, deep sea fishing, and vacationing in Florida.
Christy Malliett
Vice President & Owner
Christy joined Malliett Construction in 1988 and has been an integral part of the company's growth and success ever since. Born and raised in the Ludington area, she and her husband, Randy, have built both a business and family, raising their three children in the same community they continue to serve. Christy attended West Shore Community College and brings a strong sense of organization, creativity, and care to everything she does.

Outside of work, Christy enjoys spending time with her adult children and their families, small-tackle fishing, golf cart rides, and tending to her flower gardens. She also helps oversee the family's other ventures, The Perch Restaurant and Hobby Crest Resort on Hamlin Lake.
Jim Drier
Project Manager
Since joining Malliett Construction over a decade ago, Jim has become known for his hands-on leadership and ability to keep projects running smoothly from start to finish. Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Ferris State University and takes pride in upholding the Malliett family's longstanding tradition of custom homebuilding.
When he's not working, Jim enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife, Emelee, and their two children, Lennon and Tripp.

Joe O'Connor
Project Manager
With six years at Malliett Construction, Joe brings extensive project management expertise and a dedication to delivering quality craftsmanship on every project. Before joining the construction industry, he proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corps. Joe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Ferris State University.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys hunting, fishing, and off-roading in his Jeep.​
